Our Process

While very few things in life go exactly as planned, we believe giving our customers an overview of how our process works will help ease the stress of tackling that project you finally decided to do.

Introduction

We’ll meet with you at your home, free of charge, to discuss your needs and design possibilities.

Conceptual Design and Scope of Work

Shortly thereafter, you will receive an itemized and detailed proposal with initial design costs. This is our starting point. From there, we can add or deduct items to adjust and modify the proposal to meet your budget. You’ll just need to sign and return the proposal for us to get the ball rolling. 

Plans and Permits

Most jobs require approval from the building department and/or your homeowner’s association. We will provide you with a permit application and notice of commencement for you to sign and return while the plans are being drawn. Also, we will facilitate filling out any homeowner’s association paperwork/submittals. Once we submit the approved plans it usually takes 2 – 4 weeks to get the permits to start the job. 

Product Selection

While we wait for the plans and permits we will get you a draw schedule and shopping list. The next step is to start choosing the items/materials specific to your job: flooring, appliances, cabinetry, lighting, counter-tops, etc. We will set up appointments to meet with different designers and vendors to help select these items. Once you’ve selected and approved these items, we will order everything and handle all the deliveries.

Construction

After we get the go ahead to start construction, our team will coordinate every aspect of the project including sub-contractors, material deliveries and all the other details.

About 40% of our customers live in their homes during our construction/remodeling. Rest assured, we will make every effort to minimize the amount of dust and debris by covering the areas that are not included while also cleaning up after ourselves everyday we’re onsite.

Completion

As construction nears completion Chris will take you on a final walk through. This is where you can address any concerns that will be resolved on our final punch list prior to finishing your project. Your complete satisfaction is our highest goal and the greatest compliment you can give us are referrals to your friends and family.
